In early August, northern Brittany is at its most beautiful: long summer days, fresh sea air, and ideal conditions for a sailing trip. Come aboard the Zephyr and join us on a varied journey from Paimpol to the fascinating Channel Islands.
On Saturday evening, the crew will welcome you aboard. After you’ve settled into your cabin and gotten to know your fellow sailors, you’ll have time to enjoy the special atmosphere in the harbor of Paimpol. Before long, it’s time to say, “Cast off!” and the Zephyr sets course for the islands of the English Channel.
The wind determines the exact route. Perhaps we’ll explore the harbors of Jersey, the spectacular coastline of Guernsey, or the car-free island of Sark. It is precisely this flexibility that makes a traditional sailing trip so appealing: every voyage is unique and depends on the wind, weather, and tides.
Anyone who wants to can actively participate in life on board— setting sails, steering, or helping with navigation. No prior experience is necessary; the experienced crew will be happy to teach you the basics of traditional sailing.
In the evenings, we enjoy the special atmosphere in small island harbors or while anchored in sheltered bays. Sharing meals, engaging in good conversation, and taking in the view across the water make these moments a special part of the trip.
After an eventful few days sailing between Brittany and the Channel Islands, the Zephyr sets course for Paimpol once again. Take advantage of these final nautical miles to reflect on the memories of the trip and savor the unique atmosphere at sea one last time to the fullest. With many wonderful memories and a true sense of sailing, you’ll finally return to shore.
