When the days get shorter, the air is clearer and the first golden colors of autumn appear, it’s time to cast off!
On an atmospheric weekend in October, the traditional sailing ship Oban sets sail for a special sailing trip on the Baltic Sea. Two intense days on the water await you.
On Friday evening, you will be warmly welcomed on board by the ship’s owners Jolan and Olaf. You will get to know the crew and fellow sailors in a cozy atmosphere. After a quiet night in your comfortable twin cabin and a hearty breakfast, your sailing adventure begins on Saturday.
You set sail together with the crew and anyone who wants to can actively help out. You will quickly become part of the onboard community as the Oban glides through the autumnal Baltic Sea. Sometimes powerful in the wind, sometimes calmly drifting along – accompanied by the special light of this time of year.
The captain decides where the wind takes you: often to the Danish South Sea with its quiet bays and charming little harbors, which exude a tranquillity all of their own in autumn. After docking, a freshly prepared dinner awaits you on board. It tastes particularly good in convivial company, perhaps wrapped up in a blanket while the crisp autumn air blows outside.
On Sunday, you set sail once again and enjoy the vastness of the sea in the calm season. You return to Kiel in the afternoon with fresh sea air in your head and many special moments in your luggage.
This autumn weekend cruise may be short, but its impressions often linger for a long time.
