Fancy a little time out on the water? Then come on board the Oban and sail from Rostock to Copenhagen in a short week – 4 days of wind in your sails, fresh sea air in your face and experience life on board a traditional sailing ship up close.
Your cruise starts on Sunday evening in Rostock city harbor, where you will be warmly welcomed by the crew and your fellow sailors. You will get to know the ship in a relaxed atmosphere, move into your cozy 2-person cabin and let the first evening fade away quietly. The next morning it’s time to cast off – your sailing adventure begins!
Together you set sail and head north. Ahead of you lies a varied coastal landscape, sometimes open and wide, sometimes sheltered between islands and bays. Captain Olaf plans the route flexibly – depending on the wind and weather. Possible stops include Gedser, Møn, Klintholm or smaller harbors along Zealand’s coast. Every day brings new impressions and new destinations.
On board, you are not just a guest, but part of the crew: if you want to, you can help set the sails, steer or navigate – and of course you will be explained everything. But you are just as welcome to simply enjoy life on board, watch the waves or read a book on deck.
We cook together – with simple, fresh ingredients and lots of fun together. Whether it’s breakfast on deck, a hot dinner in the saloon or a coffee in between – meals are an integral part of life on board and ensure a cozy atmosphere and good conversation.
Depending on the weather, you will spend the evenings in a quiet harbor or perhaps even at anchor. You’ll get a good night’s sleep in your cabin before starting the day full of energy the next morning.
On Thursday evening or Friday morning, you will arrive in Copenhagen – the Danish capital, which delights with its lively atmosphere, cozy streets and proximity to the water. After exciting days at sea, you will arrive relaxed, invigorated and with many new impressions in one of the most beautiful cities in Scandinavia.
