When the nights are at their shortest and summer is at its fullest, it’s time to cast off!
The traditional sailing ship Oban sets sail for a special sailing weekend on the Baltic Sea just in time for Midsummer Night. Two unforgettable days on the water await you – the perfect opportunity to get away from it all and recharge your batteries.
On Friday evening, the ship’s owners Jolan and Olaf will welcome you on board. You will get to know the crew and fellow sailors in a relaxed atmosphere. After a restful night in your cozy twin cabin and a hearty breakfast, your sailing adventure begins on Saturday.
Together with the crew, you set sail – and if you like, you can lend a hand. You quickly become part of the crew as the Oban glides over the waves with the power of the wind. Sometimes lively, sometimes very calm – always to the rhythm of the sea.
The captain decides where the wind takes you: often to the Danish South Sea with its sheltered bays and small harbors where time passes more slowly. After docking, a freshly prepared dinner awaits you on board. It tastes twice as good in good company – especially under the bright sky of the midsummer night.
On Sunday, you set sail again and enjoy the feeling of space and freedom once more. You return to Kiel in the afternoon – with a fresh breeze on your face and lots of wonderful memories in your luggage.
This short summer trip only lasts a weekend, but it often has a long-lasting effect.
