Enjoy the late summer on the Baltic Sea and say goodbye to the warm season with an extended sailing weekend on board the traditional sailing ship Oban. From Wednesday to Sunday, a relaxing break between wind, waves and changing harbor locations awaits you – ideal for leaving everyday life behind and welcoming autumn with fresh sea air.
On Wednesday evening, you will board in Kiel and get to know the ship, the crew and your fellow sailors. You move into your cozy cabin for two and end the day in a maritime atmosphere – perfect for starting your sailing adventure the next morning well-rested and full of anticipation.
You set sail together and set course for new destinations every day – as always, the wind and weather will decide where you go. On the way, the onboard community grows all by itself: We cook, sail, laugh and live together. This quickly creates a feeling of togetherness and deceleration – without any hectic pace, but with lots of genuine encounters.
In the morning, the captain discusses the day’s destination with you, and in the afternoon you reach the next port where the Oban moors for the night. Time for a shore leave, an ice cream on the quay or simply a view of the water – you decide.
Whether you want to sail along actively or just enjoy the sun and the view – both are possible on this trip. The sailing days on the Baltic Sea are ideal for sailing novices as well as experienced sailors who want to experience the special flair of a traditional square-rigged sailing boat.
