The circumnavigation of the Danish island of Funen combines maritime adventure with Nordic serenity and a real sense of community on board. Year after year, this cruise delights our guests – maybe you’ll join us this time? You can expect wind, waves and a week full of unforgettable impressions.
Your journey begins in Kiel at the Blücherbrücke. There you board the Oban and get to know the ship, the crew and your fellow sailors in a relaxed atmosphere. The captain will show you around the ship and explain everything you need to know to quickly find your way around on board – and if you feel like it, you can of course help set the sails yourself.
Over the next few days, you will circumnavigate Funen, Denmark’s fourth largest island, by sea – and there is no better way to discover this picturesque landscape. New perspectives open up from the water: quiet bays, lively harbor towns and wide horizons. The route is flexibly adapted depending on the wind and weather – true to the motto: the journey is the reward. In the early evening hours, you will moor in small harbors or spend a night at anchor – a very special experience.
There’s also plenty of time for indulgence: fresh sea air makes you hungry! So it’s all the better that we cook together on board. In the galley, we join forces to create delicious, freshly prepared meals that you can enjoy together on deck or in the cozy saloon. The meals are just as much a part of the sailing experience as the good conversations or the shared laughter over tea in the evening.
After a full day at sea, retire to your cozy cabin for two. There you will find peace and relaxation – and can recharge your batteries for the next day.
When you disembark in Kiel at the end of the trip, you not only take home the salt of the Baltic Sea, but also many new impressions, beautiful memories – and perhaps even new friendships. Leaving the Oban is often not so easy.
If you want to get off to a relaxed start, you can come on board from 8 p.m. on Friday evening. The pre-night stay including breakfast costs 65 euros per person and can be booked as an option.
