With eight sails and an impressive sail area of 525 m², the Spartivento is one of the fastest historic sailing ships in the Netherlands. The experienced crew will take you to the most beautiful harbor towns on the IJsselmeer and Markermeer, as well as to the fascinating natural landscape of the UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Wadden Sea. When the tide is right, you’ll even have the chance to walk on the mudflats and experience the unique seabed up close—an unforgettable nature experience.

On deck, a spacious seating area with a large table invites you to enjoy meals together, play games, or simply relax and socialize. The completely renovated deck offers plenty of space to soak up the sun, let your gaze wander over the water, or simply take in the fresh sea air to the fullest.

Below deck, too, the Spartivento impresses with its exceptional comfort. The spacious salon, featuring an open bar and open kitchen, serves as the central gathering place on board. Thanks to the exceptionally high ceilings—uncommon for a historic sailing ship—the space feels bright, open, and spacious—a level of comfort you’d be hard-pressed to find on many other ships. Here, you can eat, play, read, or simply relax together—whether it’s a cozy morning coffee, a convivial afternoon, or an atmospheric evening. Even when the weather isn’t cooperating, the salon offers the perfect place to enjoy your time together on board.

When it comes to the cabins, our guests’ comfort is our top priority. The Spartivento originally had two five-person cabins. To create more space and a more pleasant atmosphere, we use these as spacious four-person cabins as standard. The fifth berth is, of course, still available and can be used at any time if needed. Groups wishing to accommodate the maximum number of guests can therefore easily use the cabins as five-person cabins.

No sailing experience is necessary. If you’d like, you can pitch in, set the sails, or even take the helm yourself. Or you can just sit back, relax, enjoy the fresh sea air, and leave your everyday worries behind.
