Catherina

The CATHERINA was built for the German navy in 1920 and was initially used as a minesweeper. She sailed as a fishing vessel until 1982 before starting her new life as a passenger ship three years later. The CATHERINA has belonged to Captain Wessel and Chantal since the beginning of 2019. With a lot of passion, attention to detail and tireless commitment, the ship is now known above all for its well-kept condition.

In the winter of 25/26, all cabins and the entire sanitary area on the CATHERINA were removed, renovated and reinstalled. The months of extensive refurbishment have given the ship a new shine. There are now many wide beds, more comfort, brighter cabins and a completely new, cozy feeling on board. Today, the CATHERINA presents itself as a very spacious, charming ship, which is ideal for groups of 16 to 24 people.

In addition to a spacious, cozy day room with an open kitchen, the tastefully furnished cabins invite you to relax. A modern filter water system provides fresh, filtered drinking water of the best quality on board, either chilled, unchilled, sparkling or still, and all at no extra charge.

But the real highlight is the days on board themselves: Whether anchoring for a swim, short excursions in the canoes or trips in the dinghy: the leisure options are as varied as the guests’ wishes.

However, the atmosphere created by Captain Wessel and Chantal is particularly noticeable: With a lot of patience, warmth and an open ear for all guests, they actively shape the daily routine, involve everyone and make every trip a personal experience. Their passion and care ensure that everyone feels welcome on board and that a trip on the CATHERINA is an unforgettable adventure.
