Catherina

The CATHERINA was built in 1920 for the German navy and was initially used as a minesweeper. She sailed as a fishing vessel until 1982, before starting her new life as a passenger ship three years later – in conjunction with an elaborate and stylish conversion.

The CATHERINA has belonged to Captain Wessel and Chantal since the beginning of 2019. With a great deal of passion, attention to detail and tireless commitment, they have given their ship a new lease of life. Today, the CATHERINA is a well-maintained, charming ship – ideal for groups of 16 to 24 people.

In addition to a spacious, cozy day room with an open kitchen, the tastefully furnished cabins invite you to relax. A modern filter water system provides fresh, filtered drinking water of the highest quality on board – either chilled, unchilled, sparkling or still (€10/day).

But the real highlight are the days on board themselves: Whether anchoring for a swim, short excursions in the canoes or trips in the dinghy – the leisure options are as varied as the guests’ wishes.

However, the atmosphere created by Captain Wessel and Chantal is particularly noticeable: With a lot of patience, warmth and an open ear for all guests, they actively shape the daily routine, involve everyone and make every trip a personal experience. Their passion and care ensure that everyone feels welcome on board – and that a trip on the CATHERINA becomes an unforgettable adventure.
