Tiessen Race

The traditional Tiessen Race is coming up! Take the chance and come on board!
You can expect a great weekend trip for sailing enthusiasts and those who want to become one. Popular destinations for the regatta include Kappeln and Eckernförde.

The strategy for the regatta is discussed on Friday evening over a small snack and a nice get-together with your fellow sailors.
The race starts on Saturday after a delicious breakfast at around 11 am. Together with your crew, you will face exciting sailing hours in a race with other traditional sailors.

After an exciting day on the water, the prizes for the fastest boat are presented in the evening – to the winner of the Tiessen Races 2026! You can end the day on deck in a convivial atmosphere. On Sunday morning, you can then enjoy a leisurely trip back to Kiel.
This traditional sailing regatta is very popular every year and only those who decide quickly can take part. As with all the other trips, sailing experience is not required here, as you will be instructed and briefed by the experienced crew on board.

The special thing about the Tiessen Race 2026 is once again the indescribably beautiful picture when all the traditional sailing boats leave the port of Kiel at the same time under full sail. Images that you will certainly not forget in a hurry!
