Falling dry in the Wadden Sea

The two-masted clipper VLIEGENDE DRAECK is a spacious and modern sailing ship. Before she was the Vliegende Draeck, she was called the freighter Lauwerszee, Hendie, Betsy and again Lauwerszee. The Vliegende Draeck was built in Makkum in 1909 and served as a freighter until 1993. She was then converted into a charter ship and given her current name. The VLIEGENDE DRAECK offers space for 40 day guests and 30 berths in 4 four-berth cabins and 7 double cabins, all with their own washbasin. There are 3 toilets and 3 showers available for guests. Below deck there is a spacious and elegantly furnished seating area with bar tables and sofas and even a television. The galley offers the chef a 6-burner stove with oven, a very large refrigerator and a beer dispenser. Guests can relax on deck. With the VLIEGENDE DRAECK (Flying Dragon) you can sail in any direction. Families, companies and schools will feel equally at home on the Vliegende Draeck. Skipper Jarno will be happy to take you to the Wadden Islands, the IJsselmeer or the Frisian inland waters.
