Company Outing to the Hanse Sail

Company Outing to the Hanse Sail—An Evening Full of Special Moments on the Hendrika Bartelds

Our company outing to the Hanse Sail 2024 in Rostock was meant to be something special. As a law firm, we spend a lot of time together during our day-to-day work, but outside the office there’s often little opportunity to catch up in a relaxed atmosphere. That’s why I was all the more excited about our group sailing trip to the Hanse Sail aboard the Hendrika Bartelds.

Together on Board at Rostock’s City Harbor

At 7:00 p.m., we met at the city harbor and boarded the Hendrika Bartelds together. There, we were warmly welcomed by Captain Ragnar, owner Robert, and the crew.

As soon as I arrived, I realized that our team event for the Hanse Sail would be different from a typical group event. Instead of talking about work right away, we stood together on deck, looked out at the water, and first took a moment to enjoy the special atmosphere surrounding the Hanse Sail.

Our culinary needs were also well taken care of. Our sailing trip included an extensive barbecue buffet, which was freshly prepared right on board by the ship’s own chef.

Cast off—heading down the Warnow River toward Warnemünde

By 7:10 p.m., it was time to set sail!

We left the city harbor and set off up the Warnow River toward Warnemünde. A relaxed atmosphere quickly took hold. We chatted, laughed, and enjoyed our time together away from the daily routine at the law firm.

Secure your spot on board now and make your trip to the Hanse Sail a special experience for your team.

Sunset and the romance of sailing on a cruise to the Hanse Sail

Once we arrived in Warnemünde, we set sail and headed out a bit further onto the Baltic Sea, surrounded by numerous sailing ships. As the many ships set out onto the Baltic Sea almost simultaneously, we were treated to a truly magnificent and spectacular sight. And when the sun set, the backdrop was perfect.

During the Hanse Sail, the sun sets directly over the Warnow River near Warnemünde, bathing the ships and the water in a warm evening light. With all those ships around us, it was definitely one of those moments when you just want to pause and savor the moment.

A small two-piece band that accompanied us on board added to the festive mood. The music was the perfect fit for this summer evening on the water and made the atmosphere even more relaxed.

In addition, the ship’s bar offered a wide selection of drinks, ranging from beer and cocktails to a variety of other refreshments. Beer, in particular, proved very popular, ensuring that glasses rarely remained empty that evening.

Hanse Sail Fireworks Cruise – The Grand Finale on the Water

Around 9:30 p.m., we set off again with the other boats, heading back toward the city harbor. About 40 boats gathered there to wait for the big fireworks display.

The return trip was another special experience for me. It was slowly getting dark, and on board we continued to chat and laugh as we enjoyed the last few hours of our trip together with music and drinks.

The fireworks finally began right on time at 10:30 p.m. For about 20 minutes, we were able to watch them right from the water, surrounded by the many other ships of the Hanse Sail.

I couldn’t have imagined a better way to end the evening.

A company outing to the Hanse Sail that will be remembered for a long time

After the fireworks, we docked again at the city harbor. Before we disembarked, we had a few last drinks and wrapped up the evening together.

For me, this team event at the Hanse Sail was the perfect mix of everything that makes for a successful company outing: good food, delicious drinks, great conversations, music, a beautiful sunset, and, to top it all off, an impressive fireworks display.

I especially loved that, for once, we were able to get to know each other as colleagues in a completely different way. Without the office and the daily work routine, but with plenty of time for conversations and shared experiences in a truly relaxed atmosphere.

The service on board was also great. Whether it was food or drinks, we felt well taken care of the entire time.

In the end, we were all thrilled by this special evening on the Hendrika Bartelds. I’ll definitely remember our company outing to the Hanse Sail 2024 fireworks cruise for a long time to come.
