Jantje

The JANTJE was launched in 1930 as the fishing cutter “Ennie en Appie”. She was active in the fishing industry until 1969, before being converted into a passenger sailing ship for the first time in 1977. Great importance was attached to a very impressive traditional rigging. This is the reason why the JANTJE still looks truly magnificent today when the sails are set. The square sails in particular, which are no longer frequently seen today, are reminiscent of the time of the explorers.

The JANTJE is the “good mood ship” of the fleet. This is not least due to the cheerful crew, who are happy to help with the sailing maneuvers. Brave guests can also climb up the mast, secured with a safety harness, to enjoy the view from above. Those who prefer to relax and enjoy the day’s sailing can do so in the cozy seating area on deck.

Below deck, the cozy day room with integrated galley also invites you to socialize in the evenings.

Only a few years ago, the JANTJE was extended by 4 meters in a very complex project, extensively and lovingly renovated and has since shone in new splendor. Accommodation is in double cabins.
