The HENDRIKA BARTELDS was built in 1918 in Vlaardingen in the Netherlands as a classic herring lugger. She was used for fishing for many decades until this lost much of its importance in the 1980s. At the beginning of the 1990s, the HENDRIKA BARTELDS was given a new lease of life: she was lovingly and lavishly converted into a comfortable charter ship.

Thanks to its impressive size, the HENDRIKA BARTELDS is perfect for classes, clubs or larger groups of friends and family. The spacious cabins offer plenty of room and a pleasant level of comfort so that every guest can feel completely at ease.

On deck, the seating in the middle deck area is particularly inviting for relaxing hours – protected from the wind and weather, but always with a view of the water. The bright, spacious day room offers enough space for the entire group and, with its integrated bar, is perfect for sociable evenings and joint activities.

The well-equipped galley makes it easy to prepare meals for hungry sailors – whether it’s breakfast together, a hearty lunch or a festive dinner in good company.
