The Mermaid was built in 1907 and restored with great attention to detail. For over 35 years, the traditional sailing ship has been inviting its guests on unforgettable trips across the IJsselmeer and to the Frisian Wadden Islands. There is plenty of space on deck to relax and enjoy yourself. If you don’t want to sail along yourself, you can relax and watch the maritime action from the sheltered seating area.
In the cozy day room with open galley, you always have the deck in view. Various benches and seating areas offer plenty of space for shared moments, and a dedicated beer tap ensures sociable hours on board. On cooler days, the central heating creates a pleasantly warm atmosphere.
The galley is fully equipped with everything you need for shared meals. A six-burner gas stove, an oven, two fridges, a freezer compartment and a sink are at your disposal to effortlessly prepare delicious meals for the crew.
You should also feel completely at ease in the cabins. Each cabin has its own washbasin with hot and cold water, a reading lamp, heating, a 220-volt connection and plenty of storage space for your personal belongings – ideal for restful nights on board.
Bas and Tamara welcome you on board the Mermaid.
