When the days slowly get shorter, the light softens and the hustle and bustle of high summer subsides, a very special time on the water begins: late summer. Are you dreaming of enjoying these last warm days to the full – with the wind in your hair, a wide horizon and the magic of a traditional sailing ship? Then come on board the Zephyr and say goodbye to summer in a very special way.
On Monday evening from 8 p.m. you will be welcomed on board in Kiel by the friendly crew. After you have settled into your cozy cabin, you will get to know your fellow passengers and have time to settle in. Perhaps you can already smell the first dinner or simply enjoy the special atmosphere in the harbor – because soon it’s time to cast off – the sailing adventure begins.
The route? The captain decides it every day – depending on the wind and weather. The result is a lively mix of active sailing days and relaxed moments in small, charming harbor towns. If you like, you can lend a hand yourself: setting sails, steering, learning nautical knots – the crew will show you everything and are happy to lend a helping hand.
And in the evening? That’s when things get particularly cozy: whether at anchor under the starry sky or safely moored in the harbour – you can enjoy good conversation, a meal together and the special tranquillity of life at sea. A break from everyday life that lets you feel how decelerating the rhythm of the water can be.
You will spend the night in comfortable 2- or 4-person cabins. In a small group – with a maximum of 16 people on board – the atmosphere remains informal and personal.
On Sunday morning, a final, hearty breakfast awaits you on deck as the Zephyr sets course for Kiel. Use the last few nautical miles to take a deep breath, enjoy the late summer sun and let the impressions of the past few days sink in. In the afternoon, you will disembark with a smile and many unforgettable memories – ready for the fall, but with the feeling that you have said goodbye to summer in the best possible way.
