Are you longing to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life and experience life in its most pristine form – on board a traditional sailing ship, surrounded by wind, waves and space? Then come aboard the Zephyr and treat yourself to a soothing fall break at sea.
You board the ship on Monday evening and move into your cozy cabin. The golden colors of autumn outside are reflected in the calm, warm atmosphere on board. You have time to get to know the ship, have your first conversations with the crew and your fellow sailors – and arrive at your own pace. A meal together is not planned for this evening, but with a hot cup of tea and the gentle whisper of the wind, there is room for encounters, peace and anticipation.
On Tuesday morning it’s time to cast off! The course is determined by the interplay of wind and weather – just like life on board. A week full of variety lies ahead of you along the autumnal Baltic coast: active sailing days, quiet moments in the hammock or snuggled up on deck, surrounded by the warm tones of the season. You can lend a hand with setting the sails, steering or navigating – or simply watch and enjoy. The experienced crew will be happy to show you how to quickly become part of life on board.
You will spend the evenings and nights in sheltered harbors or – weather permitting – at anchor, accompanied by the gentle beat of the waves. On board, you can expect freshly prepared meals, inspiring conversations and that special silence that only the sea can provide in the fall.
You will stay in a comfortable cabin with double occupancy – either two or four people. You are also very welcome if you are traveling alone: In a shared cabin for two, you will find a small temporary home and perhaps even make new friends.
You arrive in Kiel on Sunday morning – with the scent of salt water in your nose, the light of autumn on your skin and a heart full of memories. After breakfast, it’s time to say goodbye – but you take more with you than just salty hair and warm clothes: a week full of depth, connection and the feeling of having been very close to life.
