Take the opportunity to board a traditional tall ship for an unforgettable adventure in the Wadden Sea UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Within 24 hours you will experience how sailing, falling dry and mudflat hiking merge into an extraordinary nature experience. The Wadden Sea, characterized by the constant rhythm of high and low tide, offers perfect conditions for a special kind of sailing trip.
You will board in Harlingen at midday and receive a warm welcome from the crew. After a brief introduction to life on board, it’s time to cast off! The sails are set and the tall ship sets course for the open mudflats.
After a relaxing sailing trip, the ship drops anchor – and the miracle of falling dry begins: the water slowly recedes, the ship gently lays on its side and a wide sandbank opens up in front of you. Perfect for a mudflat hike directly from the ship.
As the sun sets, the tide returns. You enjoy the stillness of the night, the lapping of the sea and sleep soundly in your bunk.
The next morning we head back to Harlingen with the tide and a fresh breeze – with sand on our shoes, salt in the air and memories that will stay with us.
