From wind force 7 – which fortunately only rarely occurs – the ships are no longer allowed to set sail for safety reasons. In this case, the ship stays in port and the skipper puts together an exciting alternative program for you. Or – which is particularly possible with our flat-bottomed ships in the Netherlands – you can simply sail through the canals and Frisian inland waters, under sail or with a motor.
